Spring in KY

May is a month of celebrations for us -- wedding anniversary, birthdays, etc. We've added a series of recent pictures of the kids... they're truly wonderful girls with personalities all their own. Recent milestones... Ruby is fearless. She crawls down steps, out the back door, over anything in her way, etc. She loves the "Little Red Roadster" car and even likes to be pushed around on the trike. Amelia is busy reading the Chronicles of Narnia with Hugh, riding her bike, being a great big sister and learning how to shoot hoops.

April 2007

A few snapshots of the girls from this past weekend. My mom and dad were in town last weekend -- the girls enjoyed seeing Grandma and Grandpa. Recent highlights... Ruby is pulling up on everything, and can stand unassisted for a few seconds (hence the bruises on her head...she falls quite often, but it doesn't deter her progress). Amelia is fast becoming a pro on her bike, enjoying her new confidence and determined to be training wheel free this summer (which will no doubt give her some bruises, matching her sister).

it's my first day, so I can post 2x... so much for addictions. as i was pulling up pictures, i thought it would be fun to pull up a baby picture of amelia to put side by side with one of ruby... so here they are... i guess they do look alike!

this is my first attempt at blogging, so be kind. my goal is to post some up-to-date pictures of the family for those of you we don't see often enough. i aspire to not spend too much time blogging - seems it can become an addiction for many and goodness knows we don't have time for new addictions. thus, please check back from time to time for updated pictures/items of interest about the family. i think there's a way that you can be notified of new posts as they appear, but i have no idea how that works... stay tuned.

for now, the latest happenings at our house include: amelia's adventures in reading continue. she waffles between loving it and not wanting to do it... but overall is making great progress. she read us a story this evening - what a treat! ruby's adventures include learning how to crawl (she crawled her first steps at jeff & ashley's house in berea this past friday!) and teething. crawling brings new freedom but teething brings much, much pain and much less sleep than we'd like. this too shall pass.
